WALES COAST PATH
Wales is the only country in the world to have path that stretches the whole coastline.
We are very lucky to have the Ceredigion part of the Wales Coast Path on our doorstep.
This heritage coastline not only offers breathtaking walks, but also the opportunity to go bird watching and also enjoy wildlife such as dolphins, seals & porpoises. You’ll also find a pub and cafe or two in some villages along the way!
Here is a link to our local beaches & villages guide. You can walk the coastal path from all of these.
For full information on all walks then the Wales Coast Path website has a host of knowledge, maps etc.
COUNTRY WALKS
Here are some of our other favourite walks that we enjoy as a family.
The Teifi Marshes, Welsh Wildlife Reserve. A really easy, flat walk with bird hides along the way. From the Wildlife Centre you can also enjoy woodland walks, a children’s play park and the Glasshouse cafe. 10 miles
Llanerchaeron National Trust has 3 great family walks. The first is around the estate itself with a lake, secret garden & farmyard.
Then there’s the Fairy Trail. From the car park of Llanerchaeron there is a lovely woodland walk just across the wooden bridge from the cafe ~ make sure you keep an eye out for the fairies!
Just beyond Llanerchaeron is a safe & flat cycle/walking path along an old, dis-used railway track and this takes you all the way into Aberaeron. 19 miles
Ffynone Woods. This is a beautiful Woodland Trust walk in North Pembrokeshire that takes you to Fynnone waterfall. 11 miles
